Effective August 23, 2026
Cookie Policy
The short version
- Essential cookies only, by default. Just enough to keep you signed in.
- Analytics is opt-in. Nothing is loaded until you say yes.
- No advertising cookies. None. We do not track you across the web.
- We respect Do Not Track — if your browser sends it, analytics stays off and we do not even ask.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are strictly necessary for a site to function — without them you could not stay signed in. Others are optional. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage.
2. Essential cookies
These are required for Advellum to work. They cannot be switched off, and we do not ask consent for them because the service cannot be delivered without them.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in to your account | 30 days |
| authjs.csrf-token | Protects sign-in forms against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| authjs.callback-url | Returns you to the right page after sign-in | Session |
| advellum.consent.v1 | Remembers your cookie choice (stored in local storage, not sent to us) | Until cleared |
3. Analytics cookies — optional
With your consent we use PostHog to understand which features get used, so we know what to improve. It records page views and product events tied to your account.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| ph_*_posthog | PostHog product analytics — distinguishes sessions and users | 12 months |
These are not loaded at all unless you accept them. Declining leaves the product fully functional; nothing is gated behind analytics consent.
4. Advertising cookies
We do not use any. No retargeting pixels, no ad-network tags, no cross-site tracking. This is deliberate: it would be a strange product that helps you advertise while quietly tracking you around the internet.
5. Third-party cookies
Two third parties may set cookies during specific interactions:
- Stripe — during checkout and in the billing portal, for payment processing and fraud prevention. These are essential to taking payment.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
Those cookies are governed by Stripe's and Google's own privacy policies.
6. How to control cookies
- The consent banner appears on your first visit with two equally-weighted choices: accept analytics, or essential only. Neither is styled to nudge you.
- Settings — the analytics opt-out toggle changes your choice at any time.
- Do Not Track — if your browser sends a DNT signal we automatically decline analytics and never show the banner.
- Your browser — you can block or delete cookies in browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
7. Changes
If we add or remove a cookie we will update this page and its effective date. Any new non-essential cookie will require fresh consent.
